Submission of manuscripts
Submission of a manuscript for publication in Evolutionary Optimization implies
that the paper is original and is not being submitted for publication elsewhere.
It is also implied that the permission to publish has been granted by the
appropriate authority, and that the submitting author certifies that all
other authors have approved the paper for publication. Four copies of the
manuscript prepared in the style recommended below should be sent to any of
the editors (preferably to Sourav Kundu):

Style of manuscript
The language of the journal is English. All
submissions should be type-produced on white paper, using double
spacing throughout the text. The text should be divided into
numbered and titled sections and, if needed, subsections.
Mathematical formulas referred to in the text must be
consecutively numbered, with Arabic numerals in parentheses ( ).
SI units should be used throughout the
manuscript. English units may be converted, except where conversion would affect the
meaning of a statement.
Figures must be photographically reproducible
and be consecutively numbered with Arabic numerals.
References should be listed at the end of
the paper in alphabetical order by first author’s surname. Names of the journals and
book titles should be in italics. Volume number should be in boldface. References in the
text should give the surname of the author(s) and the year of publication in brackets: for
example, Osyczka & Kundu (1995) followed by (a), (b) etc., when two or more references
to work by one author are given for the same year. Each item should contain full
bibliographical data in the following format:
Goldberg, D.E. (1989) Genetic Algorithms
in Search, Optimization and Machine Learning, Addison-Wesley, Reading.
Osyczka, A. & Kundu, S. (1995) A New
Method to Solve Generalized Multicriteria Optimization Problems Using the Simple Genetic
Algorithm, Structural Optimization, 10 (2) 94-99.
Kundu, S. & Osyczka, A. (1997)
Optimization of Structural Control Systems Using Genetic Algorithm. In Proceedings of
2-nd World Congress of Structural and Multidisciplinary Optimization, W. Gutkowski
& Z. Mroz (Eds.).IPPT PAN Warszawa, 375-380.
Title page
In addition to the Title, the first page
should list all the authors, their affiliations and addresses, including e-mail addresses
where available, an abstract of the paper, and 5-10 keywords indicative of the contents.
The title should be as brief as possible and a shortened running header should also be
provided. The abstract should be between 150-200 words long.
Electronic Submissions
Evolutionary Optimization strongly
encourages authors to submit the final revised version of their papers on a diskette,
or delivered via web uploading, email or FTP. Instructions on how to deliver electronic
version of the final fomatted paper will accompany the final reviewer's comments,
when they are sent to authors. Microsoft Word (MS Word 97 or MS Word 2000), Microsoft RTF format
and Adobe PDF format is preferred, although manuscripts prepared using any other
microcomputer wordprocessor (LaTeX, DVI ot Postscript versions) are acceptable.
Please send all files with a printed copy of the
manuscript. For Microsoft Word style of the manuscript see EO_style.doc.
